Not all resorts have a clientel that respects fly fishermen, and with all the choices available, hopefully this will help narrow things down. "There's nothing like staying on the water" Highly Recommended. This newly remodeled "A-Frame" overlooks a beautiful spot on the White River in the "Narrows" area. Everyone who has stayed here raves about it, and it is very nice but still cozy...it's a true lodge. This place is perfect for two to ten people, so contact Bill or Jo Anna Smith if you have any more questions. (870) 430-5229 A personal favorite of mine is Charlie's. Located on GREAT water right below Norfork Dam. Accomadations range from sleeping rooms to a nice lodge. A beautiful, new "super lodge" is now OPEN for guests. Call (870) 499-7214 for more info. A cozy and clean outfit on the White River, just outside of Cotter, Arkansas. Great fishing is all around you at one of the area's only resorts catering to the needs of fly fishermen. I just went and personally checked out this new and cozy bed and breakfast right near Bull Shoals Dam, and it is truly one of the area's nicer places. Offering serveral distinct rooms and suites, the Cedar Springs Country Inn will surely become a pemier bed and brakfast. The log cabin design and incredible interior woodwork is gorgeous. Another unique aspect of this place is that they are full handicapped accessible, including a downstairs room with all the ammenities for the physically impaired. If you're tired of the typical resorts, and want to stay in a special place in the Bull Shoals area, give Duane or Rhonda Bell a call (870) 445-3211. This lodge is located just outside of the town of Norfork, and is very close to Norfork Dam and some gorgeous floating water on the White. PJ's is the perfect place to bring the entire family because it is near non-fishing recreation like Blanchard Springs Caverns and Mountain View (an antique lover's heaven), and they can arrange horse back riding. So whether you're fly fishing with the family or without, PJ's offers a great setting for your White River adventure. Offering very plush, private cabins, the "Retreat" is secluded and in a gorgeous setting.
